Singapore’s first Pullman hotel to rise on Hill Street

EL Development Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based property developer, announced it would build a five-star Pullman on a prime site on Hill St., in the heart of the city-state.

The 342-room hotel will be Singapore’s first Pullman and will feature a rooftop bar and executive lounge with sweeping views over Fort Canning, the Singapore River, and St Andrew’s Cathedral.

EL Development managing director Lim Yew Soon said, “We are pleased to appoint AccorHotels to manage our first hotel and we will bring the same high quality that symbolises our residential and mixed-use buildings to what will be our first hotel development.”

The Pullman brand is one of the fastest-growing upper upscale brands in the world. Since launching in Bangkok in 2007, it has become the hotel of choice for a new generation of hyper-connected travellers seeking contemporary design, culture and connectivity in a cosmopolitan atmosphere.

There are currently over 120 Pullman hotels in 33 countries worldwide, and the Asia-Pacific region accounts for more than 70 hotels and resorts and more than 21,000 rooms.

Pullman Singapore will join a range of flagship addresses worldwide including Pullman London St Pancras, Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel, Pullman Phuket Arcadia, Pullman Park Lane Hong Kong.




EL Development has bought Dunearn Gardens in an en bloc sale for $468 million.

Dunearn Gardens is located off Newton Road and comprises 114 apartments. The freehold site has a site area of 95,442 square feet and a plot ratio of 2.8.

After accounting for 10% bonus balcony, the plot ratio would increase to 3.08. Based on this, the land price inclusive of $43.6 million development charge would translate to $1841psf ppr.

The new condo replacing the former Dunearn Gardens will be named Pullman Residences.
